Whiz's first appearance was in the Transformers episode "Search for Alpha Trion". You have to look closely, but she's that green femme in the background. Yeah. I swear. Okay, you may have to pause the frame to actually see her... Anyway, she's gone through a lot of changes since then (including learning to speak) by becoming an Original Feature Character at the Transformers 2005 MUSH. I started putting myself in Whiz's boots about six years ago, and since then she's taken on quite a life of her own. You won't see me around the MUSH as often these days, but the spirit of Whiz lives on. |

I have always written Transformers Fanfic, but I never really expected to write stories starring Whiz. But she eventually burst out of her niche in the online world and took over a few stories too. At first I only meant to explain why she hated turbo-rats, and maybe a feud of sorts with Shockwave. Then it turned into how she met Hot Rod, and then into how the Femmes moved back into Iacon... and then it was a trilogy. But people encouraged me to write them, so I continued. It was a good thing, too... the trilogy ended up winning a 1996 Trannie Award for the Best Finished Fanfic, and "Up from Underground" was published in the Botcon 97 Magazine. Somehow, Whiz must've learned to bribe people over the Internet, because she even won for the favorite original character of the year.... |

Redemption: Also featuring Whiz (who's done some serious growing up), this was an idea too good to be just a fanfic, or just a TP - it had to be both. It began with an idea from Susan Goodfellow and Mike Kosior, and eventually became a plot that drew in everyone on the TF2005 MUSH (okay, almost everyone). And just to make sure it all came out the way I thought it should, I wrote my own fanfic version of events too. The fanfic started before the TP, so events differ - to see logs of how it went online, check out Rodimus Prime's Massive Archive of Logs. Unlike the TP, the fanfic isn't finished yet, and it's already a monster. Here's what I have so far... |
